Guest designers join each residency to lead workshops and give keynote lectures about their work. Recent guests include Mindy Seu, Elaine Lopez, Jonathan Hanahan, Jimmy Luu, and Tré Seals.

What is the MFA Residency?
The program provides hybrid courses that allow for a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online learning with a required multiple-day residency each semester. The residency enables students to study with highly-acclaimed international and national experts in the communication design field. Furthermore, it provides in-person educational and community-building opportunities that enhance the flexibility of the online learning experience.
